Hindsight is 20/20. At times during Reagan's presidency, his approval ratings were as low as Bush's are. And the MSM treated him just as poorly as they treat Bush. But now, looking back, he would be the people's choice.

"Twenty–eight percent said they would prefer someone like Reagan, who displayed "far-sighted vision” and who "persevered despite harsh criticism from enemies and was firm in pursuing his agenda.”

Not to say that GWB is like Reagan but those qualities listed above are exactly like GWB.

>> It's a typo. It's 42 degrees celcius here right now. A bit hard to concentrate... <<

Scarily, it's almost that warm lately up here in DC. Yesterday's record high was 65 degrees. It was 67 degrees yesterday... at 11 PM!!!

(Go global warming!!! YAAAY!)

(And yes, that is a joke... I remember 80 degrees on February 2nd in Albany NY.)

The difference, of course, is that Reagan's agenda was conservative; Bush's agenda is roughly that of a JFK Democrat (strong on defense and tax-cutting, but big on globalism, domestic spending, liberal programs, etc.)

The mainstream media lackeys are just trying to create unfavorable comparisons in the minds of his core supporters. Why stop at Reagan and FDR? GWB doesn't hold a candle next to Jesus Christ, Buddha and Moses. Now those were great leaders.

The Zogbys of the world should go back to doing what they do best -- sending out email scams from (foreign) countries.

Well which IS it that people want? An FDR or a Ronald Reagan? They had totally different policies.

Are people willing to sign onto any agenda so long as it is pushed forward in total?

Different policies, but Reagan was an FDR Democrat at one time. I think Reagan always admired FDR's leadership.
