I have been for the Patriots from the beginning.
I have been a fan of them all my life, born and raised in Massachusetts, I remember when they were called the Boston Patriots. I only lived 45 minutes from the stadium and only went to one game but never missed them on TV..

I have a Oats sweatshirt I wear often and a couple coffee mugs I carry around in Bills country.

Not originally... I went to a Bills game when they played the Patriots. Quietly I was rooting for the Patriots in fear the drunk Bills fans would kill me. The Patriots won.. I cheered only after I left the stadium.

I have worked very hard to get rid of that accent. I still have some of it especially when I get excited... : )

I have a relative who moved from NY to Boston and would quietly root for NY. Although, he's been living there for some time now and I'm sure is rooting for the Patriots now. :) It was a joke but thinking about it, it's very unfortunate how those fans can be brutal about that.

Thanks for your comments about the boys of autumn graphic. My son never played football, but still, being a mom of a boy who was "all boy", I have a soft spot in my heart for this picture. :-)

Read our paper headlines that the California citrus crop is lost, is that true?

I am not sure if the entire crop has been lost, but I wouldn't be surprised. All the citrus farmers have suffered losses in their groves, after three consecutive nights of temps going down in the low 20's.

I got all of our navel oranges picked, about 2 dozen lemons and a few of the grapefruit. There are still about 100 or more grapefruit on the tree that have probably frozen and some of my lemons that are too high to reach. I hate to lose the lemons because I like to freeze the juice and use them for lemonade in the summer. They are awful expensive in the stores, and with this freeze, they are going to be even more expensive.

This is likely to be quite devastating to the economy of the San Joaquin Valley.

So has my mom, who left Massachusetts when she got out of high school, but still, every once in awhile her Bostonian accent will come out when she says a word like 'car' or 'garden'. I had a girlfriend named Linda when I was going up and I could not get my mom to say her name without her adding an "r" on to the end of it. It always came out "Linder". And, all the time I was growing up a dresser drawer was a "draw".

My mom hated to be teased about her accent, she tried very hard to hide it....but that isn't easy to do.

"Carming" Thanks Dolly... : )

The Bills fans are brutal, It was a partial joke, last year a couple from Mass got beat up pretty bad after a Bills game. They are having a tough time filling the stadium because of the drunkeness. They promote "tailgate parties" most of them a quite buzzed before the game starts. I would not take my kids to a game.

Cuz, my Mom talked like she was in Mass until she went home to be with the Lord, it was funny she lived in Arizona for 20 years too.

The main thing is: Our deployed troops LOVE Super Bowl. The Armed Forces try to arrange for as many as possible to be able to watch from over there, and the soldiers just go NUTS over it! It's a unique taste of home and does them so much good.

Not to mention, there is ALWAYS a Super Bowl tribute to the troops, which is great for the whole country.

(Then we go shopping...)

Okay, you talked me into watching. How could I miss the tribute to our troops?! I love knowing that our military in Iraq and Afghanistan, those who are able, are gathered around TV sets watching the game. They so badly need this diversion from the difficult job they do everyday.

(Then we go shopping...)

Awwright!! Sounds like a plan!
