"I would like to believe that a person can be rehabilitated too" But I think that they are 1 in a million. Better to waste a few (convicts, of course) who MIGHT pull their heads out of their butts than endanger many many more.

I have been called a cynic before... but I don't believe in rehabilitation; a white-collar criminal, maybe, but never a violent criminal, nuts or not!

I do not believe a serial sex offender can EVER be rehabilated ... I am totally in agreement with you....I would like to see child killers and rapists tossed into general prison population myself. Let each day they live be a hellish nightmare like they gave their victims.....We have seen time after time that we let these perverts out and they just commit the same crime over and over and sometimes they don't just stop at raping ..They go on to killing their victims. ...I have gotten in many arguments on here over sex offenders. I posted links showing how often they repeat........ I am not writing about the 18 yr old boy who has sex with his 15 yr old girlfriend kind of charge either. I think those charges are getting out of hand sometimes........ If Joseph Edward Duncan III who was a known offender had been kept in jail then 3 members of the Groene family would be alive today. And that poor little girl Shasta wouldn't have been raped and tortured.
