KIRKWOOD, Mo. (AP) - While his alleged kidnapper was away at work, teenager Shawn Hornbeck apparently had access to a computer, and may have put photos of himself online and posted a chilling message on a site created by his own desperate parents: "How long are you planning to look for your son?"
A series of Web postings under the name "Shawn Devlin" - Devlin is the last name of the man suspected of kidnapping Shawn and posing as his father - came to light after Shawn's rescue from an apartment in Kirkwood last week.

The burden of proof in a standard debate is upon the claimant.
If the claimant cannot present proof, in some acceptable manner, then the claim is invalidated.
No proof: No truth.
No offense, but one gets the distinct feeling that you have been educated in a public school system.
It's a real shame that our tax dollars are not being spent teaching core curriculum subjects like rhetoric, debate and logic.
No offense taken, although your statement is disengenuous. Most Americans are educated in the public school system unless their parents were able to afford private or parochial school, so your "distint feeling" has a very high statistical chance of being accurate.
Perhaps you should re-read the entire debate. I provided ample facts, links and photos. Some people just prefer to wallow in their emotions and perceptions rather than seek out answers by using a search engine. They know what they feel and they don't want to be confused by the facts.
In this particular instance, I am not the claimant.
No proof was offered to the claim ES was pregnant or had given birth other than opinion, feelings and personal perceptions.
I provided links, facts, photos and reasonable explanations for the ignorant perceptions of gossips.
I'll do that, and I'll make a logic map, as well. It will be in a day or so.
Clearly, there is no proof available to the public concerning any of Elizabeth Smart's medical issues.
It's pure supposition and highly unlikely, however, it is not impossible that there was a pregnancy. As a matter of fact, one is left to wonder how she did not become pregnant? The kidnapper stated clearly that she was his "wife", and it is hard to believe they were using birth control. Perhaps she was physically too immature, or perhaps she or he is sterile.
I agree with you that the picture of her with President Bush shows an immature figure that does not look as if it had given birth in recent weeks.
That being said, Justsayin has every right to present his theory in an open forum. We have every right to attempt to dissuade him from such a course of thinking.
It may not be impossible, but it is highly improbable. But the greatest mistake made by those who like to entertain the supposition is basing their belief on their perception of her weight gain based on her return photos seen in the news and comparing it to the photo used in the press kits during the search for ES. The photo used was from when she was 13 and of course she recovered at age 15 some 2+ years after the date of the photo.
The physical changes ascribed to a possible pregnancy are more reasonably and logically explained by simple physical maturation.
BTW, the average gestational period for first pregnancies of caucasian women is 39 weeks or 274 days. It is 266 days (38 weeks) for subsequent pregnancies. ES was missing exactly 39 weeks. The date of her last menstral period is germaine because it would effect when she may or may not have been fertile and bring the 40 week computation into play (not that there is any public information to aid this computation). Most rape victims do NOT become pregnant. There is also no demonstrated reason to disbelieve the family statements regarding this issue.
ES was also chained to a tree or hidden in a hole with minimal food or water for the first 5 months according to press accounts, which would very likely negatively affect fertility.
I would not be the least bit surprised if her captor suffered from erectile dysfunction. Middle aged homeless schizophrenics are rarely in the best of health and they frequently have histories of drug abuse as well.
Justsayin has the right to say whatever he wants, however he'd better learn some internet skills and get a flamesuit and some tinfoil, because I won't be the last poster he's going to run into with little to no patience with his sly and unsupported innuendo.
4 years later what purpose does such prurient interest serve except to further the agenda of a gossip who wants to preach that the victim in some way shares responsibility for their victimisation.

Fact is that sometimes normal fertil women just don't get pregnant each time they have sex. If you are not a women than you wouldn't obviously understand that.
A friend of mine just got pregnant after one year of trying. It took me many times to get pregnant with my boys. Getting pregnant is not automatic when you ovulate and have sex at the same time.
Mother of 4 here, and I do get pregnant every time I have sex..... I'm a regular fertility goddess, LOL
I care only insofar as ES wants to be left alone and the grubby specualtions of gossips who can't think their way out of a wet paper sack irritate me.
They do it out of their own need for sensationalism.
oh boy, your a fertile woman, aren't you, lol! I was really meaning that response for someone else, not you really. Anyhow, not all women who are fertile can just get pregnant right away or anytime they have sex.
I actually was seeing my OBGYN and had to go on charted plan to get pregnant and it was only when I did this did it work beautifully. If I was just having sex with my husband a few times here and there i doubt I'd end up pregnant.
I suspect that ES may have been raped and sexually assaulted often, but not often enough and not near an important time of the month, and even so it failed to get her pregnant. She was blessed by God for that not to happen.
