Steelers coach sure to trump the mayor By Eric Heyl TRIBUNE-REVIEW Sunday, January 14, 2007

It's a 'Burgh' thing.
It's a 'Burgh' Ping.
Maybe the good citizens of Pittsburgh should vote for the next Steelers coach to be the next Mayor.
And, appropriately, the Freep fundraising pic on this page is of an "iggle". ;)
Welcome to the forum.
Considering the politicians in the city, that would be like coaching a 45 man roster of nothing but T.O. clones.
As most people saw it, the selection process would involve a coin flip, a congratulatory phone call to the winner, and then Steelers owners Dan Rooney and Art Rooney II would decide which local steakhouse to patronize for dinner.
Not so fast sparky. Ya can't do that any longer.
All thanks to ..... SURPRISE ...... Pittsburgh's own Dan Rooney.
There's that little thing now called 'The Rooney Rule' which stipulated you MUST interview Black Candidates for Head Coach ('prolly' should be called the Jesse Jackson Rule). And no phony 'interviews' either, uh-uh, no way.
So get ready Steeler fans, 'coaching genius' Dennis Green is unemployed. He'll only set you back a couple decades.
thanks.
