Already, humans with at least 72 different diseases and conditions have received therapeutic benefit from treatment with such "adult" stem cells. In contrast, embryonic stem cells have not been tested in humans for any purpose because of the dangers demonstrated in animal studies, including frequent formation of tumors. And if it was the other way around, this statement would be included in EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE OR NEWS BROADCAST.

Looks as though the University of Minnesota is busy working on adult stem cell research and are coming up with some major breakthroughs. But don't be misled, they are also using private funds to fund embryonic stem cell research and are NOT coming up with too much favorable results. The links posted below show the university's successes with adult, non-embryonic stem cells.
