The more information that comes out about this case, the more it fits an exact copycat of the Staynor case.

I wonder how long it was after that movie came out that this child was kidnapped?

I can picture devlin making Shawn watch "I know My Name is Steven", and pointing out the abuse and ridicule to which young Staynor was subjected upon his return to his family. The movie BTW was made in 1989-a few years before the kidnapping-and it's been shown on Lifetime and other movie channels since, so devlin wouldn't even have had to rent it. (BTW, I am also in MO, so I know it was shown on premium and cable channels here.)

The movie came out in 1989
but we have 2 other boys missing that were taken the same way as Shawn was (out riding their bikes) and both are from rural areas just outside St. Louis - within an hours drive. They have not been found yet and they are looking to see if Devlin may be connected to those 2 cases.

Shawn was grabbed in 2002 - the other 2 were grabbed after the movie came out but before 2002. One of them would be 26 now and I believe both were under 12 when they were grabbed.

We also have 1 female that was grabbed in 1989 (Gina Dawn Brooks) just south of were Shawn and Ben were grabbed.
