Oh, no. Who said he wanted to be with this freak? That's just insanity, to believe that. At some point, the kid probably just thought it was pointless to try to escape, and to make the best of it. By the way, on Fox awhile ago, a neighbor said he heard yelling and "thumps" from the apartment where he was being held. The kid was probably beaten regularly.

Some freepers have been trying to find excuses for the kidnapper. The only way to accomplish that is to suggest the boy stayed willingly.

Frankly, they can go to hell.

I think kidnap victims start to believe that they've been so changed by what they've endured that they could never return to their former lives. Their parents couldn't accept them, and even if they did, the vicitm would never be the happy, normal person he was before. At some point, they feel hopeless and start to adapt.
