Wow. I've been looking at minivans, but I'm unfamiliar with any having room enough for more than 8 passengers. I wonder which company manufactures one for 12?

Beats the heck out of me....our Suburban only comfortably seats 8 people (and that is only if our third seat is installed -- which it isn't.
I know one thing, we have accidents like this, overloaded mini-vans, all too often here on our Arizona highways and that is without snow and ice on the highways.
There is such a thing as load limits and ability to brake and control a vehicle. Autos built for 7 and carrying 12 and heaven knows what kind of tires is an accident waiting for us to pay the medical bills or the funeral.

All of them.
If you're busy transporting illegals around!
I've seen a couple of vans "loaded to the gunnels" (and above!) here
in Mid-Missouri since we've had the illegal tsunami arrive to
work roofing in summer 2006.
It's not as bad as Southern California.
But we are headed that direction.
