You're right. He's nuts and needs to be institionalized. The really scary thing is that if he truly believes this garbage, he then actually thinks the Midwest is like a third world country. Perhaps he looked at the map on belivers vs non-beleievers and moticed that the hightest percentages of belivers was in the south and midwest. So, he decided to strike out at them.
