This travesty and the Haditha trial are liable to run the Republican party completely out of Washington in 2008. I could expect these kinds of things to happen under a Democrat Administration, but when an administration I voted for does it, I feel betrayed.
I'm still not ready to vote for a Democrat, but staying home on election day is beginning to look like a possibility. I'd rather cuss a Democrat in office than cuss myself for voting for someone who is not a bit different than a Democrat.

Excellent post, excellent pics! This is an absolute disgrace of Bush and the GOP - to attempt to claim they're taking national security seriously 5+ years after 9-11.
The emperor has no clothes.

Another Day in the Life Pres Bush... He'll stay the course until these guys are in jail, then admit mistakes were made. I think I have his cadence.
One of the posters on this thread expresses a feeling of being betrayed.... that was the message sent to the WH last November. The problem was not the IRAQ war, the Bush Admin made that the focal point rather than deal with the Border and illegal immigrants.
With the loss of both houses, even though the balance is slight, the Dems were able to make the Iraq War the major concern. Had Bush dealt with the illegals problem, Conservatives, such as many of us, would have gone to the polls or voted a straight ticket. We did not. I know many that split the ticket or didn't show. WAKE UP BUSH and pardon these guys and seal the border. (Remember GWB your legacy will not be that you were a great President, but that you were a better alternative! Try to improve over the next two years)

I wish I could have been there. This is shameful. I have respected Bush and voted for him both times; he's universes different than what we endured with Clintoon, but on this issue, I am ashamed of him.
This is my favorite:

I want them out too. I would like to see them free until the appeal process is complete. If the appeal process doesn't serve justice....then President Bush should pardon or commute their sentence.
