I haven't read your thread yet...I just wanted to tell you that I am sorry about the trouble with your stitches in your eye.

Did you have another surgery?

I appreciate even more that you got this thread together...you are just awesome to do this, while you are having such trouble with your eyes....really, thank you.

this is still the recovery from the transplant the day after Thanksgiving. My surgeon put in 16 stitches and the first of those came loose within the last 10 days or so. These will be unraveling or "popping" on a regular basis for the next several months. I had some stitches left from my surgery in 2003 until early 2006. This next visit on the 27th is meant to pull a few more of them and to use others to try to "tension" my cornea and make it flatter (kind of like working on a drum head). It's not a fun process but, as procedures go that surgeons like this do, it's no big deal.

Every time I go to his offices I remember the phrase "I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet." Compared to many of his patients I'm not having any problems at all.

I'm getting ready for bed now and plan to try to NOT do much on the thread tomorrow. Wanna bet how successful I am ;^>
