Thanks to those who offered up Lomborg. I promise to read it cover to cover. Also, is there a shorter piece, or a scientist who I should follow who my professor friends would find credible (i.e., tenured at a leading American university)?

Again, thanks.

How about junkscience.com website. It's not too much for kids to handle.

Also there's a great middle-school age text about envirnomental issues called," Facts, not Fear". Its put out by Regnery publishing, written by Micheal Sanera and Jane Shaw, and covers all the so-called envirnomental crises.

It uses real facts and economics to counter each of the so-called environmental crises. I have my middle-schoolers read it for science in our homeschool- it's excellent.

Probably not. The believers can list more tenured professors on their side, I think. Any credentialed expert on the skeptic side has credentialed experts opposing him and his arguments.

A caution: If you come up with a plausible skeptic argument, test it against the believer's FAQ at Real Climate. If you think it survives the RC FAQ, you can "return volley" at least once.
