I can't believe how much time I spent on this. I hardly got any of my real work done. There could well have been some professional songwriters entered who turned in some great stuff. At least it was kind of fun. The songs will serve as a history lesson.
Noel Hillman was in one of the songs. There was a story about how he gave incomplete or innacurate info regarding Berger. He is head of the Public Integrity section in the Dept. of Justice. I actually got him on the phone one day (he didn't know how I got his number) to confront him why he had David Rosen indicted and not Hillary. Hillman has not heard the last of this.
I was singing that song with my son and we went "Noel Hillman??" I didn't know who he was.
I am totally AMAZED at the variety you put out. You are more talented than you probably realize. Wouldn't you love to have a versatile music band at your fingertips to put together your versions within a couple days of the news stories? And great vocal imitators to sing in the politicos' voices? I wish you did.
Sometimes it really seems that only absurdity allows our minds to comprehend JUST WHAT THIS CRIMINAL DID. It makes me feel like the editors of the New York Times et al should be jailed along with him as accomplices.
And G-d bless Bill Bennett for doing this contest. I used to listen to him but that station doesn't come in upstairs so well here. Drat.
