Nifong is being a clever little slime. He thinks that by handing the case off to a different prosecutor (who will no doubt move to have the entire thing dropped) he can claim "Well, I tried to do justice but that other guy is corrupt and so the white guys get to go free". Nifongslime is the epitome of a political player, look for him to run for higher office very soon unless we slam him into prison immediately.
Nifong has no shame, is a glib liar, and has no problem with sending innocent persons to long prison terms - the traits of a sociopath.
