What's bizarre about the whole thing is that a grown man who should be protective of children would terrify a young boy to the extend that he didn't dare reach out for help when he could have. Don't these people understand that this means Devlin did something very awful to Shawn, if not physically then pschologically? It continues to amaze me how some people become immediately suspicious of the victim. Can we not just have good news for once, without the media's attempt to make something bad out of it?
i agree totally. The media hasn't talked about Devlin and how selfish he was to take a kids life and use it for his own selfish desires. He kept him from his family, kept him from getting an education, and kept him from being able to be himself.
The news should focus on that and what a terrible person this man is, but they'd rather focus on ripping apart the victim, Shawn!
It seems the media's job nowadays is to see how much and how far they can go to humiliate.
