I agree with you completely that there are idiots out there who will use this to continue to blame Shawn and that the media has been way over the line in how they have treated Shawn and the Akers. I hope and pray that his parents are media savvy enough that they are able to shield him from most of this garbage. Shame on Fox and the NY Post and the others who are bringing more heartache on this family!

basically sodomy can mean that an object was used instead of a sexual organ. It would be hard to prove that it was rape unless the accused used their sexual organ.

Attempted Sodomy to me means that the victim was penetrated or stimulated somehow with something other than a sexual organ.
