WASHINGTON — The White House fired back Friday at Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer's verbal slap at Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, calling the California Democrat's caustic comments about Rice's family life "outrageous."
Boxer lit into Rice on Thursday with bitter diatribe during a heated line of questioning before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee looking into Iraq policies. At one point, Boxer turned to the broad question of who pays the ultimate price for war. Rice has never married and has no children.
"Who pays the price? I'm not going to pay a personal price. My kids are too old and my grandchild is too young," Boxer said. "You're not going to pay a particular price, as I understand it, with an immediate family. So who pays the price? The American military and their families."

Hey Babs, who pays the price when terrorists level another NYC highrise, or worse set off a dirty bomb in YOUR district?

Dear Ms. Boxer,
I am the mother of one son who is 18 years old and currently considering a career with the Marines. Should he make this choice, I would be extremely proud of him. Our family fully understands the potential risks of joining the military and would support him in the decision 100%. That being the case, may I speak up regarding your ridiculous and insulting treatment of Miss Rice yesterday? Kindly apologize and then STFU!
PS: God Bless Condi and President Bush!

There really are no depths too low that these f@&*^%% people will sink. A fine role model they are. There was a time in this country's history when aspiring to be part of Congress was something people saw as a virtue. Now the left side of the isle is filled with nothing but venom-spewing, America-hating, terrorist-enabling punks.

The 'Rats give Condi Rice a hard time every opportunity. I felt she was treated shabbily during the post 9-11 hearings by former Clintonistas. Condi always acquits herself well, unlike her detractors who come across as rude & classless ... which, of course, pretty much sums up a typical 'Rat.

How did Rice respond? Boxer is despicable.

I think we should make a concerted effort to emigrate all conservatives out of that state and then just raze the entire place and all the liberals right to the ground.

As a man who was unable to have children until late in life I condemn the slutty remarks made by Senator Boxer. I feel strongly that Senator Boxer owes Secretary Rice an open and above board apology; and, she should make that apology right now!
As the son of a WWII vet; as one who served myself; and one who is the father of a current US Marine I find Senator Boxers remarks about paying a price stupid, arrogant and wholly unwarranted. I feel strongly that Senator Boxer owes my father, myself, my son, and every person currently serving, as well as those who have served, an apology; and I feel that she should make this apology NOW and make it public, open and above board.

Boxer went on for minutes with her tirade. That statement was only a part of a much longer diatribe. Sec. Rice replied thus:
"And let me just say, I fully understand the sacrifice that the American people are making, and especially the sacrifice that our soldiers are making, men and women in uniform. I visit them. I know what they're going through. I talk to their families. I see it." (Source: FNC website)

With Chafee gone, who is the stupidest Senator? Boxer? Murray?
Even Biden is smarter than those two.

Can you imagine a Republican making these comments about a Democrat woman? The lame media would be all over it for weeks. Like the innocuous comment made by Sen. Trent Lott at Sen. Strom Thurmond's birthday party. Boxer's comments are worse but she will be given a pass. Disgraceful.
Boxer is classless and needs to apologize.

SO, any congressman(woman) or senator who doesn't have children - say like Barney Frank - shouldn't speak about the war or education, for that matter, because they can't possibly relate to the situation.
This woman has a personal hatred of Condi Rice. Not just her politics, but a personal hatred.

Senator Boxer should be publicly asked if she supports gays and lesbians in high governmental positions, as they obviously don't have children (unless adopted).

Maybe the "gentlemen" of the Senate should censor her; or throw her out of the Senate. Then we could get the people from the State of Califusion to send another Senator to the Senate. But, again pigs will fly before that happens.
