BOXER'S LOW BLOW January 12, 2007 -- Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer, an appalling scold from California, wasted no time yesterday in dragging the debate over Iraq about as low as it can go - attacking Secre tary of State Condoleezza Rice for being a childless woman.

Boxer needs to apologize now for her dispicable behavior.
Boxer is a typlical Brooklyn Liberal! She's a transplant. Her Daddy probably was one of the guys reading the Daily Worker on his way home on the subway.
Perhaps Dr. Rice should buy an African Child?
It's all the rage nowadays among the leftist elite crowds, doncha know.....
Old news.
Conservatives stand up and do not let go of this. THIS is who the liberals really are. Remiknd them of it daily and until they are out of power.
Apologize? Dream on. I'm sure she'll find a way to rub it in further.
So, how many times has Boxerface been guilty of infanticide?
Lord, it's long past time when she should be removed from public life in great humiliation and disgrace or any other way.
Boxer is unworthy of the honorable title of United States Senator.
She should resign.
The junior senator from California ap parently believes that an accom plished, seasoned diplomat, a renowned scholar and an adviser to two presidents like Condoleezza Rice is not fully qualified to make policy at the highest levels of the American government because she is a single, childless woman.
I must be missing something here. It's a little bit early in the day to set myself up for flame bait, but I think this extrapolation is kind of a major leap. I don't think there was anything off limits in Boxer's response, or any implication of a slight toward Condi based on whether or not she has children.
If there had been, it would have been a real cheap shot. The lady is not married, and she IS a lady, so of course she doesn't have any kids.
But I just can't see the intentional slight just from reading the words here, and I didn't see the incident in question.
Anybody able to shed a little light on this? Was this just politics as usual? Clue me in please.
Thanks.
Didn't Feinstein make a similar comment about "childlessness" to someone last year during a Senate hearing? Was she addressing Rice?
Someone help me out here, I'd love to remember.
There seems to be a pattern here.
Here is an explanation from Boxer's office.
GMA Highlights Boxer's Jab at Condi's Personal Life
Diane Sawyer observed, "I want to go back to congresswoman [sic] Boxer, Jake, for a second and the Secretary of State. And by the way we saw the Secretary of State. And by the [sic], we saw the Secretary of State's eyebrow just go up when that question came in. I know that congresswoman [sic] Boxer has felt some pressure. Any new word from her on what she meant?"
Jake Tapper: "Well, Sen. Boxer's office says all that she meant to say was that Secretary of State Rice, just like Sen. Boxer, does not have any family members in the military. They say she was not trying to draw attention to the Secretary's personal life in any way."
Her voters should be shamed and asked to leave America.
According to Boxer's logic the following Senators should not be allowed to vote on any bill because since they are CHILDLESS they don't have any vested interest:
Maria Cantwell (Dem-WA), single-no children
Barbara Mikulski (Dem- MD), single - no children
Jack Reed (Dem- RI)married - no children
Olympia Snowe (Rep-RI), married - no children
Susan Collins (rep-RI), single - no children
After looking at the list, I'm actually swaying to Boxer's side lolol
The absolute lack of respect for the office that she holds, and for the presidency, for that matter, is just disgusting these days. These Congressmen astonish me every time I watch a hearing. They treat our leaders like average Joe's at the supermarket who are beneath them. Grrrrr!
