It's scandalous that this is the FIRST time Nifong has met w/her. Must not think she'll show up Feb. 5 since she got a supeono (sp.).
That, or he wants her to find a reason to not show up, or he's going to use "revelations" he discovered during the interview as his reason to dismiss. But that could be dangerous for him inasmuch as he would still be condemned for not interviewing her sooner. On the other hand, dereliction of duty/misfeasance carries less jeopardy than acts of malfeasance do. I'm sure he'd rather look foolish, negligent and dumb than criminal in both any civil suits to come down as well as in any criminal actions against him and the state bar actions against him.
