Nixon brought the Communists into the capitalist world by changing their trade status with the US, hence the world, without insuring freedom of religion. This empowered the PRC economy to begin the military build-up that will challenge the US. The "extra" 30 million men play into this scenario quite nicely.

Nixon's goal was to establish diplomatic relations with China to drive a wedge between them and the Soviet Union during the Cold War. This was the first step in the collapse of the Evil Empire!

It was the Carter Administration that first granted most-favored-nation trading status to China in 1980. It was renewed by Congress annually.

Then, Clinton changed his position on China trade in 1994, two years after defeating Bush, when he abandoned the idea that trade and human rights should be linked in policy.

No, not at all. From personal experience, bottom 5% of IQ are rarely attractive. Either way, you don't need to assume that the bottom half of the IQ curve are less attractive than people at the top. What it boils down to is that those possessing the EXTREMES of both measures (extremely low IQ and extremely ugly) will be shafted. If you have extremely low IQ, attractiveness might help you to get married; likewise if you look like a corpse, your IQ of 160 might help too. But if you are BOTH ugly and stupid, then you are dumb out of luck. So ultimately, China would be in the midst of cleaning its gene pool by 2050, potentially boosting both its national IQ and male attractiveness.

Additionally, attractiveness has a lot to do with grooming and hygiene, which requires money and discipline, something people of low IQ generally lack.
