30 million men, they would either take on Chinese regime or foreign lands. Either way, they are the source of trouble.

Wasn't there a study a while back that pointed out that when the men to women ratio in a country got a certain amount out of whack (more men than women), it was pretty certain that the country would start a war.

Or they could be usefully expended in the laogai system. Since the regime has a knee-jerk concern for self-preservation, the choice is merely between the places and conditions under which they will be wasted.

More People's Republic of China men and women would have died off more evenly with less of life in the PRC IF Nixon did not begin to export capitalism without freedom.
