You are too modest as usual. While out for dinner this evening, my wife and I were speaking of how "war is killing" and our collective forgetfulness of this simple fact across party lines and sexes due to media and enlightenment sentimentality has let us "make war on Saddam and not the Iraqi people" as well as fall into the trap of regime change.

If we would have maintained an absolute monopoly on destruction after that statute fell down in Bagdad and killed those required to maintain that for six months, this thing would have been over. But, no, we are toooooo civilized to win a war...we must conclude it instead.

Oh, KC, how kind and sweet you are to me. Thank you.

I agree with your post that "we should have maintained an absolute monopoly on destruction after that statute fell down in Baghdad and killed those required to maintain that for six months.."

Now what to do? I'd say, give all good people 48 hours to get out of the most egregiously violent areas and then bomb those areas back into the Stone Age. Iran, of course, has to been dealt with very soon. Before President Bush leaves office.

I think that was the beginning of the pc war, when our flag was yanked off his statue so as not to offend their senseabilities.
