WASHINGTON, Jan. 11, 2007 Five years after the first detainees from the war on terror arrived at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, a new state-of-the-art facility there is making duty safer for guards and more comfortable for detainees.
Camp 6, which became operational in December and cost $38 million to build, now houses roughly 160 of the 395 or so detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Navy Rear Adm. Harry Harris Jr., commander of Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay, said in an interview here today. |
Well, then, maybe Cindy Shehag would like to have an extended stay there.
Sheehan had better be careful down there. If the detainees find out she's trying to shut down their vacation resort, they'll start a new terrorist group specifically designed to go after her and the useful idiots she has in tow.
Just last month we had a guard get hit directly in the mouth with a feces-vomit cocktail.

Someone would die. Just sayin...
I spend a lot of sleepless nights worrying about the comfort of the detainees.
This doesnt need a sarcasm tag does it?
Yeah. I know. It's a good thing I am not assigned there. God bless those guards. I could not be as restrained as they are. I hope their chain of command appreciates them. I sure as hell do!
I'm concerned about the comfort of the detainees in there. It's probably really hot and crowded. I'm trying to get a government contract to provide overflow space for some of these poor guys. I just set my dog free and have converted his pen into "accomodations" for a dozen or so detainees. Complete with dining facilities(dogdish) and entertainment area (there's gravel to stare at. or eat.).
LOL
No sarcasm tag needed.
I could sense it by reading your post!
Comfy chair ping...
"...a new state-of-the-art facility there is making duty safer for guards and more comfortable for detainees."
I'm definitely in favor of safer duty for our soldiers.
OTOH, I have problem with any sort of comfortable facilities for the detainees.
If you said "the guards", I would agree!
I spent a few nights the year I was there worrying about that.
