Whoa..this has potential...
THis is a very, very bold move on our part. Going in to a diplomatic mission and capturing the occupants is like seizing hostages in a foreign embassy. And it is about time the Iranian role is exposed. To bad the MSM will likely paint this as a violation of international law and/or possibly even a war crime.
This action was not a quick decision, there is somthing vert important in there.
The louder the Iranians scream the more they have to hide.
Just watch....
Good. Send their corpses in a box back to Tehran.
Suicide bombers are Palestinian "diplomats".
Bingo :)
Indeed, did you see this?
The battles left more than 50 militants killed and more than a dozen captured, seven of whom are Syrians and this supports what we reported in our last post that eyewitnesses said. Meanwhile there have been more clashes in Al-Aamil district in western Baghdad yesterday and we learned that all roads and bridges leading to that area are now closed, with helicopters hovering above.

While terrorists have attacked our embassies. The official agents of other nations generally leave diplomatic missions alone. I also can't think offhand of instances where we have done something like this in the past.
This could signify that Bush is raising the stakes and is seriously considering broadening the war to Iran itself.
While I suspect that we cannot win this war without being willing to attack Iran, this action still makes me very nervous.
WOOOO HOOO!!!!
Good info there Ali- thanks:)
I agree. This could be HUGH.
I haven't forgotten. I was in 6th grade at the time. We received regular updates about this and other important public events in the school in the mornings.
I can still remember the undertone of anger that Iranians would do this in the teachers voices and they sympathy for the hostages and their families. I don't remember any sympathy for the hostage takers or anyone saying we should have tried to understand the hostage taker's point of view.
We had a place in the courtyard of the school where there were American flags and small markers with the names of all the hostages. A new flag was added for every day the hostages were held, and a student was always selected to add the flag to the display (3 students and 3 flags on Mondays).
I also remember that they interrupted classes with an announcement about the failed rescue attempt. The shame and disappointment that an American rescue attempt failed before it even got to the hostages was clearly apparent. The anger at the terrorists was accompanied with an anger at our government and Carter in particular for dealing with the situation so incompetently.
That was back in the days where patriotism not only existed but was nurtured in public schools, at least where I grew up.
Good. Send their corpses in a box back to Tehran.
Make that a pig fat container.
A little Ayatollahesque action?
I thought that was what the muzzies wanted. Us to be more like the 1970s Mullahs.
