A fire department spokesman said flags and commemorative cards were allowed but offensive material was not.

One wonders if the "offensive" material were Bush-Cheney stickers or pictures of Saddam and Osama with bullet holes/dog crap on their faces.

OK, so let's just see what 'slogan' that is deemed offensive and degrading to women they are talking about so we can accurately judge this issue.

If this article was serious about resolving this issue with truth, it would state what the actual problem is rather than use inuendo to imply something is happening that isn't. The same goes for the Union statements.

For me, that crosses the line.

I will look, but I do not know what slogan was said some weeks ago.

But banning the American flag is not the solution for whatever other offensive slogan was used.
