PC Magazine is a much better pub. I disagree. I have found PC Mag to be much more blatantly biased in their analysis. Even when AMD was kicking the snot out of Intel, it was hard to find much in the way of positive remarks for AMD in PC Magazine. It was either cheerleading for Intel, or uncomfortable silence, AFAICT.
That said, I have always liked John C. Dvorak's column.

You must have successfully avoided his political commentary. Man's to the left of Michael Moore, from the political commentary of his that I've been unfortunate to see.
