He is....I am truly Blessed in my life with my marriage and family. I thought I would just stay single after my 1st marriage ended. I had 3 of my own children and 2 boys I more or less adopted up as their parents didn't want them. Not too many men want that many pre teens and teenagers around. But he was great with them. I have known my husband since I was nine. Our parents had gone to college together.

He went off to school, and then the Navy. Came home on leave and we married 11 months later. That was almost 49 years ago. he still introduces me as his bride.

He is fighting cancer and his goal is to make it to our 50th anniversary.

We have a whole passel of children and grandchildren, and our oldest granddaughter is getting married in March, and it will start all over again.
