sometimes the "size" requirements turn into a good match but oh how many men pass up good gals because they don't like like Christie Brinkly & gals shun men who aren't tall, lean & rich.

Yes, that's all true. Let's see... I've met men who wouldn't date me because I'm "too tall," not curvy enough, not big enough in the boobs, I wear glasses, etc., blah, blah, blah. When I was in high school, some folks considered me to be too thin. Nowadays I'm too fat. Also had a guy in high school STOP flirting when I made the honor roll one semester!

If you look hard enough, there's always something for which you can reject a person. No one's perfect, but it's easy to compare that person against some mythical laundry list and turn them down.

I have never required a man to make more money than I do... but I have paid most of the bills for the last 4+ years in this relationship (he finally recently got a job after completing a training course), and I have been in a couple of other relationships where I ended up paying way more than 50% of the bills.

And yes, there are times when I wonder what it would have been like to have married someone who was prosperous and could help me out, instead of the other way around. LOL.

But you know what? Being a wife and mother IS a job. And just like a guy considers the compensation for his job, a woman considers the compensation for her job. You cannot live on love alone, because the landlord, utility companies, etc. insist on being paid with money.
