Living in the Philippines while in the Navy.
Went into a sari-sari (small convenience) store for a pack of smokes.
Saw the cashier and was smitten. The thunderbolt had hit me.

Went back daily until she knew me as a regular customer.
Our first date was to make American style chili.

She put me on my back with a leg sweep early in our dating (long story).

We've been married almost 24 years now.

The Navy counselers said we had a 97% chance of divorcing before the first 5 years. HA!
