That's so nice-thank for the story Grizzled Bear:)
I married the "milk man".I met my husband when he worked weekends while in college as a milk man! He delivered milk to our house for 3 years weekends and Summers.
We have been married 44 years and our son who is 42 today looks "just like the milkman".
Hey, even the desert gets cold at night in December!
That next year her Dad paid for two weddings, and he insisted we wait for a couple more years.
We did, and have never regretted it.
Happy 82nd birthday Sandrat's Mom & happy 26th birthday Sandrat's D-I-L! Many happy returns of the day!
My grandfather, a WW1 vet, had 2 wives die on him (his first in her 30s after only a few years of marriage, his second, my grandmother, in her 40s, after 18 years of marriage) both of similar cancers. Though he continued to live his life by going to work, he pretty much spent the last 20 years of his life drinking himself to death, holding on just long enough for the birth of his only grandson (me). He never dated again.
Thank you TAS
Hugs!!
Thank you MeekMom:)

Hi TASMANIANRED.
The birthday will be celebrated on Saturday, so she's got a few days to wait :)
We did bake a cake tonight though :)
Lovely story... great punchline
One of these days you'll have to tell the story...
OBTW, we took a birthday present to Phoenix with us yesterday. Our son hid it from Piper's mommy in Piper's closet.
Well, Piper spotted it this evening, and started climbing shelves to get to it! Daddy caught her, rescued her, and in the process Mommy found the box. She really loves her earrings. Daddy said she'd never find it there - he wasn't counting on his daughter's powers of observation!
I met the love of my life at an airport.. a mutual friend introduced us.
Although we started out states apart (500 miles) he flew back and forth to come see me. There wasn't a day that went by in that first year that we didn't talk for hours on the phone. It was unbearable to be so far away from him and it was the same for him. Never in my life have I felt so much love for someone. We made plans to marry, talked of having children together and I moved up to be with him. Marriage and 3 children later and I feel our love grows stronger for each other day by day. I thank God for bringing him into my life in a time I needed someone the most. He literally saved my life and for that I am forever thankful. I pray that life continues to get better and even more amazing and that we are blessed with more children.
That is one lucky woman.
a communist-Whoo-Hang in there Jack(((Hugs)))
Thank YOU for prompting all of us to remember/think about the first wonderful moment of our relationships.
