He's right.
this is one thing I wish Bush would address in the speech - media coverage.
let's say the surge works, that 6 months from now - US KIA per month falls to 20 (113 last month). How is anyone going to know? The media can still take 20 KIA per month, and run negative stories with that, 20 days out of the month.
iraq is never going to be safer then LA, new orleans, DC, detroit, philly.
what standard are we going to use to judge success here, and how will that be communicated to the people.
