Yes they did.

Schwarzenegger called for health care reform, referring to his proposals made earlier this week in which he would require employers of 10 or more to provide a health insurance benefit, and everyone, including illegal aliens, would be required to have coverage.

Many libertarians, including myself, are of the mind that if you reduce government welfare and entitlements, you will decrease the number of illegal immigrants who are here only to collect these benefits, leaving only those who work hard and are a great contribution to our economy.

We have illegal aliens because illegals are paid to come here. We don't need new law. We don't need a fence. Just stop paying them to come here...Elephant undressed!

I'm with you on that one. However, let me state that part of the reason for their seeming refusal to address the issue is that libertarians themselves are split on this issue.

When I was at a Christmas party last month, I heard people talking all over the place on this issue. One friend was saying that they were "just trying to come here and provide for their families." Another friend was railing against illegal aliens and telling me about how much they trashed her rental property.
