REL-BOSNIA-ISLAMIC-SCHOOL Bosnia-Herzegovina marks 1st Islamic school anniversary in Balkans
SARAJEVO, Jan 8 (KUNA) -- A grand ceremony was held here Monday marking the 470th anniversary of the establishment of the first Islamic school in the Balkans.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Muslim Representative of the Bosnian Presidency Haris Silajdzic, who said Islam entered the country through righteous call for Islam and conviction, rather than the use of sword.
The Islamic school was established by Khesro Bey, the first Ottoman ruler of Bosnia-Herzegovina, who was mainly interested in science and culture.
Islam was an option, albeit a challenge to the Bosnian population, who faced various obstacles and wars throughout the history to give up such an option, he said.
Addressing the mass ceremony at the august Khesro Bey School, which has recently been rebuilt, stressed the necessity of introducing the religion of Islam with good and kind speech and convincible proofs, considering that Islam has been marked by the peaceful civilized means.
Silajdzic, who graduated from this great school, said the Bosnian Muslims, since the Ottoman Empire, have been safeguarding Christian temples, and have been providing protection for those Jews who were denied access to Europe when they, together with Muslims, were expelled from Andalus.
Meanwhile, he called on all Muslims worldwide to rebuff terrorism and extremism accusations against Muslims, and to present Islam as a religion of benevolence and forgiving.
On the same occasion, Bosnian Mufti Mustafa Ceric pointed to challenges facing the Muslims in the Balkans to keep their deeply rooted religious identity and culture, calling for boosting people's religious awareness.
He also emphasized that health education should be provided to generations to come in Muslim communities, calling for dissuading them from extremism and hard-mindedness. He considered moderation and benevolence as a key to dialogue between Muslims and advocates of other religions.
Bosnia-Herzegovina is the only European country that has an Islamic college, not to mention seven Islamic high schools, three Islamic institutes and scores of Islamic primary schools. (end) yr. mt
To be named "The Bill Clinton School of Peace."
Absolutely 0% historical evidence to back this up...
That's nothing but a bald-faced lie!!!!
Another example of "Bosnian" muslim taqqia. They are the grand-masters of the islamic lie in the entire world!!!!
yeeha
....they have to lie. The truth is too ugly.
And these muslims subscribe to whahabism which means they are the biggest liars in the universe.
I wonder how the muslim boys and their Burqa-babes handle the back seat at the drive-in?
Despite the current low penetrance of Wahhabism in Bosnia, the "Bosnian" muslims play host to Wahhabi mosques, Iranian spies, Al Qaeda and other terrorists. Their illegitimate state also serve as a base for illegal immigration into Western Europe (mainly of muslims) and for international crime.
With the ever larger numbers of Wahhabi mosques, the future of Wahhabism in Bosnia is bright, despite its current low numbers.
They sure don't hide the sword that was supposedly never used from their imagery. Here's the flag carried by the Balkan Muslims during WWII:
Ridiculous fabrication. The Bosnian Muslims spent World War II slaughtering Jews and Christians as members of Hitler's army.
The Muslim first president of Bosnia after the fall of communism was part of a recruiting organization for this SS unit.
If you want to ascribe the actions of the 13th Waffen-SS to the entire Bosnian Muslim population, you'll need to provide evidence for such an elision.
The 13th Waffen-SS consisted entirely of Balkan muslims. It was a volunteer unit recruited from Balkan muslims. It was supported by dozens of religious organizations in the Balkan muslim community such as the Mladi Muslimani. It was supported by Alija Izetbegovic, who was later embraced by muslims as a "mainstream" Bosnian muslim leader. It was sanctioned and blessed by hundreds of muslim clerics. It was welcomed in the streets of Sarajevo with parades and celebration. And no comparable muslim unit emerged from the Balkans to oppose it. It is accordingly accurate to state that they were representative of the disposition of the Balkan muslim population in WWII.
snip.. He considered moderation and benevolence as a key to dialogue between Muslims and advocates of other religions.
Nothing wrong with talking to Infidel scum. But don't lose sight of the fundamentals of Islam as written in the Koran and Hadiths. Those texts will tell you how to handle the disbelieving swine if they persist in their beliefs in Gods other than Allah and his prophet Muhammad. - Tom
And the Klan consisted entirely of white Americans. What's your point.
It was sanctioned and blessed by hundreds of muslim clerics.
You've named one. And he was a foreigner.
It was welcomed in the streets of Sarajevo with parades and celebration.
And the Klan was welcomed with parades and celebrations in several American cities in the 1920s. I'll expect you to prominently post the Klan emblem as the flag of the white Americans.
And no comparable muslim unit emerged from the Balkans to oppose it.
And no comparble white movement emerged from the South to oppose it.
It is accordingly accurate to state that they were representative of the disposition of the Balkan muslim population in WWII.
Then by your logic, it is accordingly accurate to state that the Klan was representative of the disposition of the white American population in 1924.
Your baseless attempt at drawing moral equivalency between millions of Americans and the KKK aside, do you deny that the 13th Waffen-SS were Balkan muslims?
I believe what we have here is a case of somebody who would rather defame millions of patriotic Americans by linking them to the KKK than admit to the well documented fact that the Bosnian muslim community sided with Hitler in World War II.
Stop with the "moral equivalency" shitck. I've made it very clear that it's your logic that sets up such equivalencies. And no, I don't deny that the 13th Waffen-SS were Balkan Muslims. Are you suggesting that that the millions of American Klan members were actually citizens of other countries?
Please stop posting half-hidden insults and accusations behind my back. Pointing out that the consistent application of your logic defames patriotic Americans is not an assault on Americans.
