Mucus membrane. Nose, mouth, eye.......gets into your small intestine eventually. Ewwww....I need to re-bleach everything around me.
I find it so irritating that public bathroom doors have to be pulled open to exit...why not set them to be pushed open with an elbow or hip? One thing that isn't on your list, wash your hands often! I wash mine 8-10 times a day, especially before handling food or eating.
I believe the technical name is "The Screaming Trots'.
It got our household all through Christmas. A total of 14 people in all counting the extended family ended up with it. All the kids got it first then the adults. You definitely DON'T want this one. We double disinfected everything and it somehow still spread like wildfire.
I had that 16 years ago.
I've been OK since then.
Seriously....I have been terrified this year because of this junk. I love going to work and hearing, "Man I was up all night puking".
ACK!
I use my knuckles instead of my fingertips for debit card pin pad purchases. I also do the high door push deal. I have not had a cold or flu for two years now. I know it sounds silly, but it seems to work.
I read somewhere that alcohol gel was really not very effective.........Viruses aren't affected by alcohols and most dangerous bacteria just laff at it........
In before "it's the illegal aliens fault"
Bleach kills everything.
My college-aged son was sick with this Christmas night. He finally had to go to the ER for fluids. I cleaned the bathroom with Clorox clean-up to make sure no one else in the family got sick. I was the only one to get it. One would've thought all that bleach would've killed those cooties. The worst part for me was the body aches. Attendants in the ER told my son that they were seeing LOTS of this.
Unfortunately, to wash your hands you have to touch the appliances to turn on the water, and then touch the towel, which both could potentially carry the deadly virus, or worse. No, thanks!
Yeah...well...thats all fine and good unless your 2 year old gets the stomach flu and you end up waking up every hour overnight to change (#2) diapers that smelt so bad that the pregnant wife couldn't handle it. Try telling him that it was from him not washing hands after going to the bathroom. People will get flu bugs no matter how "germophobic" they are. I ended up getting it too...it was a 24 hour bug in my case. Luckily my wife was spared.
And yes...we all practice civilized (but certainly not OCD sterile-like) hygeine in my house. My $0.02.
that's why I use depleted uranium wipes.
I do wash my hands often. So much so, my wife thinks I'm trying to hide something! Have to put on creams to keep my skin from drying out!........
Last week I was at the bank and the teller looked a little under the weather. I made it through the whole transaction with my sleeve completely covering my hand. Luckily I had a t-shirt on under said long sleeve shirt so as soon as I got out to the car I whipped it off.
I never thought of that.
But my girls were trained to flush public toilets with their foot.
I don't care who likes it and who doesn't.
Bleach does kill a lot, but it smells and ruins your clothes if you get it on you. Plus it's bad for your skin........
