I graduated from high school in 1963 and drugs were never mentioned as a problem by any adult. LSD was around, but only in certain locales and social circles -- it didn't become more common until the very end of the 1960's.

You're right about drugs and such in the early 60s. The early 60's were basically an extenion of the late 50's with 1965 and '66 being transition years.
I feel like the Eras should be 1945 - 1955 and 1956 to 1964 or '65 or even '66. then 1967 to 1979.

I graduated in 1963, too... there was drugs in our school, something called yellow jackets, reds, etc.. to this day I couldn't tell you what they were, a girl in my class died from an overdose my Sophomore year....
