Not true. The University of Georgia was the most profitable athletic program in the country last year, eclipsing the money made by most NFL teams. Paying the coaches salary will be a drop in the bucket.

Magellan is right, SEC teams don't play non-conference road games because playing in the SEC is proof enough of strength of schedule.

I think the reason is that other teams want to play at Florida as an excuse to then go to Disney World!
