I know the bowl games make millions for the schools, but I have to believe that the NCAA is leaving millions more on the table by not going to a playoff system in Division I. Sooner or later, it's going to happen. And I think a playoff system could be devised using the bowl games. I've seen several different scenarios over the years.

Here's a distinct minority point of view: I think we should go back to the days of seven or eight bowl games, and forget the rest. There are way too many Who Gives a Damn bowl "classics" these days, featuring teams that are 7-5 or even 6-6. And I DETEST in-conference playoff games and tournaments. A team that wins the regular conference schedule shouldn't have to win it again by winning a post-season tournament. The guy who came up with that idea should be put up against a wall and shot. It's all about greed and money.

The NCAA doesnt run the post season....the BCS and bowl committees do.

Here in Phoenix, Fiesta Bowl officials have been saying they are open to change in 2010. It will happen, in 2-3 years.
