Florida lost to Auburn
Auburn lost to Arkansas
Arkansas lost to USC
USC lost to Oregon State
Oregon State lost to Boise State

so in theory boise state would have gone undefeated in the sec this year.

I knew this would get people going.

Probably not, but no-one else did this year either, and you never know. Hey, this theory works as well has having coaches and sportswriters pick the national champion.

Doesn't work that way. Arkansas beat Auburn. Auburn beat Florida. Florida beat Arkansas. Life in the SEC baby. THAT's why the Gators deserve what they've got. They had to slug out week after week.

I've seen the "A beat B who beat C, therefore A will beat C" theory used to prove that Pone Kingpetch, the 112-pound flyweight could have beaten the heavyweight champion of the time, Muhammad Ali. Of course, that was done to show how ridiculous this "logic" is.

You might want to ask Boise State about how well it went last time they faced a team from the SEC.
