Hello.

Well, I had the doctor followup yesterday. He said good news and bad news. The good news is that the spots on the lungs are not cancerous. PTL! The bad news is that the spots on the liver are larger.

HOWEVER

The doctor is not convinced that they are cancerous. I had cryoblation (SP? - where the surgeon froze out questionnable spots on the liver) in 2005, and the hemo/onc doc says that these spots could either be cancer or they could be portions of the liver that are regenerating themselves. He said that if they are new growth, they can appear to be similar to cancer. Plus, he indicated that my otherwise good health also makes him question whether or not they are cancerous. Can this possibly be???????

THEREFORE

He is going to be sending me to the doctor that did the cryro 2 years ago, and will be speaking with him before the appointment. The liver doc will make a determination after his conversation and review of scans and medical records. So, we could be looking at a return to chemo, another surgery to remove the part of the liver with the spots (you only need a fraction of the liver), or no action.

I've put this in the Lord's hands, and I have been including you all in my prayers who have prayed on my behalf. I'm truly grateful and full of hope.

It sounds more encouraging than not -- PTL, indeed.

You are, of course, going to remain in my prayers.
