I did hear VDH say that one of the reasons that Pres. Bush changed the Generals...was because Abizaid the others wanted to have the Iraqis work their way through the election process and learn the ways of government...
and THEN we would go clean out the bad guys.
NOW, he realized that isn't going to work..and he needs faster results, so he is getting Petraeus to do the opposite....clean out the bad guys...and then help them economically and with jobs, etc.
Hey...I vote for that!!!
Hubby thinks he's a great choice and will finally get the job done.....
