What's the typical shelf life of canned goods in a tin can? Don't they age out due to leaching from the container, like ten years or something?

We keep ours about a year and then start rotating them. We give them to the food bank, They are still good after a year.

No bent cans go in storage, if they do get bent or dented, we use them immediately and replace them.

Expiration dates are on the can and the guarantee is for one year but they last longer.

They keep well a very long time. (Remember, it's not "tin", either.)

If you want scary, try plastic.

Try eating some peanut butter from a plastic container in a year.

You won't like it!
