They stayed home because they were so much more conservative and so much smarter than those of us who were true patriots and understood the danger to our country, our troops and our allies.
They're just soooo much more intellectually honest than those of us who voted, as I did, with PRIDE in my country, my president, my troops.

LOL, not to mention those that spread BDS, agitated for surrender of the congress, (in Conservative media and on FR) and then claimed to have "held their noses", and voted for an "R".
Resulting in a loss of the only Conservative firewall in the Congress stopping the liberal tendencies of the President.
Brilliant political strategists they are not, but that is what happens when voting emotionally.

It wasn't conservatives who renominated RINOs to run. That was the mainstream of the republican partyy establishment.
If conservative candidates had run they would have voted for them.
The republican party needs to clean itself out like 1994.
Then and only then will you see a workable majority.

I don't see this being reversed any time soon. The Dems have a lot of safe incumbents coming up in the 2008 Senate races and I don't see the House flipping back without a strong Presidential candidate, and one hasn't emerged yet.

I voted STRAIGHT Republican, despite having to hold my nose and all the while knowing that I would really like to drop kick my Congressman and Senator. Despite their rather dismal performance in the last Congress, at least they were both re-elected, the alternative is and was unacceptable!
