Don't you think most of the blame should be the Republican Party which time and time again try to shove left-leaning candidates down out throats.

Just look at the top contenders for Presidential candidate. All RINOS ...McCain, Guilliani, and Romney. Where are the conservatives?

They are not being shoved down our throats. They are polling well with the base and the public at large. Repubs who will be social right champions while ignoring fiscal issues and trusting the voter with personal responsibility will go down just like Santurom and Allen.

If I remember correctly Republican voters elect precinct and ward committeemen. Committeemen elect county chairmen. County chairmen elect district representatives. District representatives elect State Chairmen. State Chairmen have a say in who represents us within the National Republican Party except when the President is a Republican and he normally picks the National Republican Chairman.

As you can see, it all starts at a local precinct level. True Republican voters vote in the Primaries where the local committeeman are elected. So, vote for one who represents your ideas or run for the office yourself. The Republican Party is not some obscure object. We, the voters, are the Republican Party. Stop blaming the Party for the the choice of candidates you have. Get involved. Stop letting others make the choice for you and then complain.

Admittedly McCain, Guilliani and Romney are not my choice either. We must convince someone else to run that is a better candidate. Can we do it? I don't know but we can try.

If either McCain, Guilliani or Romney happens to be the candidate for President in 2008 then that is the choice we have as Republicans or we can vote for Hillary. I for one will not like the choices and be reluctant to vote for the Republican candidate. However, I will have no reluctance to vote against Hillary Clinton. So, who ever the Republican candidate is that runs against Hillary that candidate will get my vote. And, I will vote. I don't like McCain or Guilliani but I despise Hillary. Not a hard choice for me to vote for the Republican candidate.

Scary. Conservatives are in for a rough ride. I got a good laugh out of Hannity on TV tonight trying to say that Romney is a Conservative! I think Dick Morris was the guest at the time and he said something along the lines of, "You're kidding, right?"

As a Conservative, I am not happy with any of the Republican candidates as of now. However, with the thought of having another Clinton in the white house for 4-8 years.. I will end up voting for the Republican ticket.
