BAGHDAD, Iraq - Coalition Forces killed four terrorists and detained a fifth armed gunman during a raid Saturday morning in Baghdad targeting terrorists involved in the production of improvised explosive devices.
Upon arrival at the objective, five armed individuals attempted to flee the scene. Coalition Forces tracked four of the individuals to a nearby building where they refused to surrender. Their subsequent actions were assessed as an immediate threat to Coalition Forces and other Iraqis in the area forcing the troops to engage and kill the four terrorists. The fifth armed individual was found hiding in a ditch. He surrendered and ground forces detained him.
Considering the amount of human suffering and damage inflicted by IEDs, it is significant when Coalition Forces are able to eliminate and detain terrorists involved in these attacks. Every detention brings Iraq one step closer to peace.

LOL. Yeah, you're right, but better than what has prevailed in Iraq recently. I'll take these little bits of encouragement where I can find 'em.

The fifth armed individual was found hiding in a ditch. He surrendered and ground forces detained him. Odd, considering how we've been told that these guys "love death" and are "anxious to die."

How about this. The troops waltzed in, shot the place up, and one sleaze bag Muslim mass murderer managed to escape the initial salvo. He was later captured cowering in a ditch. "Forced to engage" my butt. Why is this even a story. It's a WAR! We kill them before they kill us. These aren't cops here, they're soldiers. We have to stop this Gomer Pyle approach to the military.
