****People who live in New York City talk about his cleaning up the city, making it safe and what a difference there is now from how far it had deteriorated prior to Rudy. If that's his version gun-grabbing, it's not a bad thing.****

No thats' not it.

Rudy's firm belief is that the 2nd Amendment is NOT and Individual Right but a 'state right'. It has zero to do with crime.

In addition, Rudy was on C-SPAN about a week ago (maybe two now) ranting and raving about "people buying guns" and that Congress should pass a Federal law that ALL firearms owners be Licensed By The Federal Government. That little proposition is Unconstitutional on its face. For one Congress does not have the power or authority to do that.

Rudy hates guns period. He won't even bother to hide behind the 'hunting' canard like gun grabbing Dems. He wants all guns outlawed - period. Heck, John Kerry is more pro gun than Rudy.

And THAT is b-a-d thing.

{Heck, John Kerry is more pro gun than Rudy.}

With Rudy's treament of his ex-wives, he won't get the "soccer mom" vote. After all, why bother voting for a liberal when you can get the real thing in a RAT. With Rudy being pro-gun control, pro-abortion, and pro-homosexual, the RAT candidates can claim the moral high ground over Rudy. Obama and Edwards are still on their first marriages and love their wives.

Yep. I like Rudy. I think he's a good leader, I think he's fiscally conservative, I'm not concerned about his stand on social issues (since I believe most should be handled at state and local levels, anyway), and although his infidelities give me pause, they aren't enough to rule him out for me absent a more compelling candidate. I'm flexible.

But any candidate who doesn't hew to the BOR is out of the question in my book -- that is where I draw the red line. And unfortunately, that includes Rudy (2nd Amendment) and McCain (1st Amendment "reform" with his vile CFR bill).
