Its 10,000 per event, per day.
I worked for a 6 billion transportation company and violating federal laws like this were taken way way seriously. BTW, when I worked there there was a potential for me to be found personally liable for that $ 10,000. Its a pretty good deterrent.
Thank you for that information, sgtyork. That certainly changes my opinion about $10,000 being such a pittance of a fine. I learn something new every day here on FR.
