The use of the words 'so far' says a lot, imo.
May God have mercy on the souls of those who have already tried and convicted the Haditha Marines in the media nd in our own Congre$$. It worked so well with the Pendleton 8, let's do it again.
Leaks kill,, but the WP, NYT and LAT and the rest of them could care less about truths in time of war.
Murtha can also go to hell for all I care.
As a general rule, I don't like to speak ill of fellow Marines or other military regardless their banch and service, but I can make and will make exceptions.
... the official, who is familiar with reports produced by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to publicly discuss details of the killings ...
The geniuses who decided to use Marines as policemen should be on trial as well.
PING
This anonymous official has tainted the entire trial.
This article mentioned a picture that had been printed...have you seen the picture referenced??
Besides messing with the Rules of Engagement, they apparently never factored Rules of Enragement in the mix.

Well said, Norm.
A photo contained in a U.S. Naval Criminal Investigative Service report obtained by The Washington Post shows damage from a roadside bomb on the morning of Nov. 19, 2005, near Haditha, Iraq. The blast shattered the front of one Humvee and sent it flying. (AP Photo/The Washington Post)
Ping!
And yet.....here it is for all the world to see!
There are 2 up on yahoo photos of the preceding event aftermath, however..
A photo contained in a Naval Criminal Investigative Service report obtained by The Washington Post shows the aftermath of the roadside bomb that struck a Marine convoy in Haditha, Iraq, Nov. 19, 2005. One Marine was killed, and two others were wounded. The explosion touched off a series of violent events as Marines came under enemy fire, then searched several nearby houses, looking for insurgents. (AP Photo/The Washington Post)
Amen to that.
Those poor Marines. They were trained for war, not policing a foreign civil war. If we're going to grant amnesty to illegals, why not grant amnesty to marines charged/convicted for these "crimes."
I'll ask the Admin Mod to delete this thread. (just kidding)
Too bad it wasn't as easy with the MSM stuff, huh?.
Tatum's attorney, Jack Zimmerman, said he got the report the day after Christmas and has not "even begun to crack it." He called disclosure of details from the report a "serious, serious violation" and said he may ask the military to investigate the source of the leak.
A "serious violation"? Shouldn't it be a crime? I'm no lawyer, but it seems to me this taints the trial. All details disclosed should be inadmissable at trial.
That is a whole lot more credible than the story that "in the moments following the explosion" a white taxi carrying five Iraqis "stumbled onto the scene".
Horse manure.
Yes! And it's happened dozens of times in this case.
Thanks for the ping, Justa.
