CHILLARY: For the first couple, visibly icy during Sexgate in '98, "even watching TV was an ordeal," pal Terry McAuliffe writes.

He uses the book to claim that Kerry, who lost his 2004 challenge to President Bush, had a bumbling and wavering campaign team that was tripped up by a smoother machine. Gee Terry, don't you think that it just might have been simply a matter of the American people seeing that Kerry is a dishonorable fraud, liar, America-hater and total scumbag?
These elitists always assume that the American people are merely stupid sheep and everything hinges upon their ability to hoodwink others in the most effective manner.

"he was held back from attacking Bush's military record by Kerry's campaign, and that he was never asked to take part in a strategy meeting inside the Democratic nominee's nerve center."
No problem. The hack media, led by a fraud by the name of Dan Rather did it for them.

On the bizarre side, McAuliffe tells of having his leg rubbed by the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat at a dinner. Did T-Mac just let him do it or did he slap his hand away?

McAuliffe says Kerry's aides wanted to oust him as party head once the Massachusetts senator secured the nomination. He said he was never invited to a single meeting at Kerry headquarters. Well of course not, Terry "The Punk" McAuliffe was, is and always shall be a Clintonista. and Jon Effin Cary was smart enough to realize that if Kerry won in 2004, that would put the Kibosh on Hillary for a 8 whole years....Kerry did not want McAuliffe to poison his campaign, so he decided to poison it himself, through ineptitude and not by McAuliffe malice.

I thought the decision of the Kerry campaign to back off any real criticism of Bush... I must have missed that. I haven't heard any cessation of Bush sliming since the 2000 campaign began.

I have no doubt that his book will spin it to be an 'unwelcome touch'.

He's just jealous that the Dem switches happened under Dean's watch instead of his own. This guy was a total whiner and Clinton apologist. And who's going to pay money to read his book? Even the Dems don't know who he is or care what he has to say. He's a loser and a has-been and nobody cares what he thinks. Even the Democrat leadership didn't care because they didn't invite him to anything.
Besides, the thought of Arafat touching anyone is enough to make someone throw up. Why think that that little tidbit is going to sell anything except barf bags?

On the bizarre side, McAuliffe tells of having his leg rubbed by the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat at a dinner.Melanie Morgan of Move America Forward and KSFO has for many years insisted that there were many insiders that say Arafat was bisexual. She also said he came on to her when she was an ABC News reporter.

Well, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, but even in the last debacle, the problem was disunion on the right rather than effective propaganda from the left. You say rightly that their error is to always assume that clear smooth politicking will generate success.
If that were so then plenty of products that have long since gone into the dumper would be avidly used. They aren't, even when the campaign to promote them was well-chosen and well-thought-out. If you live by selling the sizzle, then in the end, the steak has to actually HAVE the sizzle.

"I thought the decision of the Kerry campaign to back off any real criticism of Bush was one of the biggest acts of political malpractice in the history of American politics," This is what should be focused on here. McAuliffe is admitting that their method is bound up in lying. Kerry refused to invent a lot of criticism and did not have much to criticize to begin with. McAuliffe shows the colors of the fundamentalist lying left. He considered it political malpractice to not attack like he wants. Its bastards like this I resent in Politics.
