When historians get around to chronicling the first half of the 21st century, let's hope they don't write that America lost its war against terror by default. If we lose, there will be no historians.
America is the only thing standing between civilization and a thousand years of darkness.

To degrade the ability of terrorist organizations to threaten the safety and security of legitimate states. It is said that every madrassa in the ME and 80% of the mosques in the U.S. (Rbt Spencer said it on CSAP today in a prerecorded show) teach hatred of the west and violent jihad. That is the source. It must be stopped.

That's part of the strategy. Apparently, we have insisted that Saudia Arabia revise the hate out of textbooks under pain of sanctions and that work is about done. Pakistan investigated a closed a lot of madrasas after the London bombing. I often wonder when I see fighting in Gaza if the hate is off their TV, yet. It takes a lot of doing on a lot of fronts to diffuse a movemment that was allowed to build for two generations unchecked.

Apparently, we have insisted that Saudia Arabia revise the hate out of textbooks under pain of sanctions and that work is about done.Actually, they said they (the Saudi's) were about done but Nina Shea at the Center for Religious Freedoms has learned that they were lying.
In March 2006, in a written profile of Saudi Arabia, the U.S. State Department Country Reports on Human Rights for the first time commented briefly on the issue: NGOs have reported on intolerance in the education system and, in particular that religious textbooks emphasized intolerance and hatred of all other religious traditions, especially Christianity and Judaism. Saudi officials claimed to have revised textbooks to remove content disparaging religions other than Islam. However, many recently published textbooks continued to contain language that was intolerant of Judaism, Christianity, and the Shi'a tradition in particular.Source (page 21/39)

True. But there was a unanimity of vision and purpose which does not exist today. Most of the peaceniks who before the war were advocating compromise with Hitler became very quiescent after Pearl Harbor, so I'm told. I wasn't there but my Dad was.

Odd that you didn't respond to my last post to you.
In all due respect, you are way off the mark regarding this war.
Islam has been preparing for 1300 years for this moment and our administration is still living in the world of wishful thinking.
As said earlier...we haven't even started to respond to the enemy in this war. This war requires a massive paradigm shift. I believe we will win. But we haven't defined the enemy...we haven't devised a winning strategy. We haven't even defined victory.
Open your eyes and get on board.
